Rorisang Tshabalala is a specialist corporate strategist in business model and innovation strategy. He leads 10-year old business model Research & Development firm, Chapter One Innovation as Chief Executive where they bring ideas to life and help others to do the same – he works with corporate senior executive teams globally on research, development and strategic execution of business model innovation projects. He has led Chapter One Innovation to being specifically recognised in the market as “the special-forces team for senior executives”, deployed by CEOs and their teams to establish project offices for corporate intrapreneurship missions.
Beyond his work at Chapter One Innovation, Rorisang is passionate about South Africa and the African continent at large; in 2012 he “put his money where his mouth was” in that regard by taking a 2-year sabbatical to take up a role as the youngest Executive member of a South African political party start-up that is now represented in Parliament. He also co-hosts a radio show, #FranklySpeaking on CliffCentral focusing on political and socio-economic “hot potato” issues, Rorisang holds a BCom degree from University of Pretoria and an MBA from University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. He is also a recipient of the Bertha Foundation for Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Young African Leadership Initiative and Archbishop Tutu/Oxford University Leadership fellowships.
